Bachelor's degree can be an education milestone that will open

A Bachelors degree is a traditional way people think
of college. Sometimes referred to as a "four-year degree",
a Bachelor's degree is an undergraduate degree that requires 120-128
semester credits, 60 of which can be transferred from community, junior,
or technical colleges. Bachelor's
degree programs involve general education, major courses in a
specific field, and electives. Students will be asked to declare a
major, usually within the first two years of college. Their
major will cover at least 30-45 credits of their bachelors degree.
The education is meant to give students a broad background to continue
onto graduate studies or to work. Different types of Bachelor's

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006, workers who
had a Bachelors' degree had a median weekly earnings of $962, compared
with $595 a week for a high school graduate.
