About East Georgia State College

Georgia Southern University–East Georgia Campus (GSU–East Georgia), formerly East Georgia State College (EGSC), is one of four campuses of Georgia Southern University, a public university in the U.S. state of Georgia. The campus is located in Swainsboro, 37 miles (60 km) west of Statesboro. Established in 1973, EGSC was consolidated into Georgia Southern effective January 1, 2026.
